Oak Lawn, Ill. - More than 150 policymakers and health officials Illinois met all day Friday for a program to fight against obesity lawn conclusion. It follows a series of regional discussion forums held earlier this year across the country: the Alliance. Statistics show that the challenge of Illinois 62 percent of Illinois adults are obese or overweight and one in five children are obese. This is the fourth-worst rate in the country. The first priority is to stakeholders the means to fight against the problem. This includes promotion of healthy foods in schools, senior centers and child care institutions, to promote active transportation and safe access to retailers who sell healthy, affordable food.
